Regret

Regret is a futile emotion. It is unproductive and emotionally unhelpful. Nothing useful comes from dwelling on what could have been.

I still feel it, time to time.

A Muddle.

Everything is a muddle.

I Dream

If you found a genie in a bottle, an interesting first wish would be "I wish that we'd fall in love."

30.8.09

Dream

Sometimes, I'll have a dream so weird or intense that when I wake up I have to spend the first few hours of my day thinking about it.

20.8.09

We're on a Journey

Usually I go ten over in the left, but sometimes, I go five over in the right.

7.8.09

Computer Blue

I'm glad Prince is still with us.

Differences

A sleep researcher is someone who investigates and studies the phenomenon of sleep.

A sleep searcher is someone who takes a lot of naps.

The Webs We Weave

I've got some fish, and they live in a swanky tank.

I'd like to write a monologue about the fish. It would detail how the fish had moved into a new, hip apartment. Everyone involved was really excited about the new pad, and good feelings ran high. However, as the months go by the good cheer would grow stale. The fish would settle into a routine, and somewhere along the line it would turn into a rut. Nobody comments on it, and nobody does anything. After a while, life as a fish just wouldn't be any fun anymore. Tensions would begin to tear at the formerly good fish friendships. Passive-aggressiveness would become the law of the land, and soon nobody would talk to each other anymore, and nobody would come over for parties anymore.

Then I'd like to record a dramatic reading of this awkward social slice of life, and have it be the soundtrack of a recording of my fish, swimming in their swanky tank.

Target Audience

Late at night radio stations have less commercials, but television stations have more commercials.

Things I Believe, But Am Having A Hard Time With Right Now

1) The world is full of beauty. All we need to do is take the time and effort to see it.
2) My life has barely begun.

A dream

Yesterday I discovered it's unlikely I'll be able to major in Biology because of the scheduling at Knox.

Last night I had a dream that the dean of students tied me down, shot me up with sedatives and started to pry my skull in half. The sedatives didn't completely put me down and I escaped his clutches and went on the run. He captured me and I continued to struggle. Eventually I realized it was inevitable that he was going to win out in the end. He pinned me down and started to poke around a gaping wound at the base of my skull. I started to just beg and plead that he inject me with more sedatives before he kept going. He said that nobody had ever resisted such a high dose of sedatives before, and to find out why he needed to continue the dissection with me conscious.
